SOME WORDS...
We want to take this opportunity to thank those of you who - our pals - have taken the time out of your busy lives to notify us of flaws on our website. Here is one now, the Sample Cards. We are trying to document every colorway to add to your selections online, but in the interim you cannot see all colorways in just one place. We have now reinstated our photos of each Sample Card we offer which covers all our yarn lines and colorways they come in. This is for your ease & viewing pleasure. Please take a look here. Enjoy.

COMING ATTRACTIONS
For our fans of our Paseo de La Lana aka our Virtual Tour, we were moved to see how much you missed it. You will be happy that we are adding a new virtual tour of La Lana Wools very soon. Here's just a little peak for now...

JULY 2007

THE CHILE LINE COLLECTION
This was named after our public bus line Aqui in Taos. We chose chile and cactus motifs to express the character of our beloved town. The very inventive Terri Ranck got us going all out on this one. It started with a cardigan, easy enough, but then we thought why not make the sleeves button so that it can also be a vest? So we did. The Chile Line Sweater & Vest is knit up in Fair Isle, in many delicious shades of our Custom Millspun Worsted.

Then Terri accessorized it with a scarf with pockets using the same chile motifs, and a hat to go with. Also in our Custom Millspun Worsted.

From there we went to Felter Extraordinar Janet Scanlon for our Chile Line Bolsa. Our version features the very traditional broad strap ornamented here with chiles done in Phat Silk Fines. This yarn surprised us by felting like a dream. It gives the look of a fancy boucle for free! The shape of this bolsa was inspired by bags that Luisa saw from a town called Ayatta on the far side of Lake Titicaca in Bolivia. The other yarn used is black Dos Mujeres which also felts like a dream.

To complete this collection Darlene Hayes designed our Chile Line Socks. Shown in Dos Mujeres in black or undyed, motifs in Phat Silk Fines.

Enjoy them all...

DOS MUJERES PRICES
This is the exact kind of letter we hate to write.
The cost of Mohair has gone up significantly in the last couple years and our suppliers could simply no longer hold the prices down. They passed these increased costs on to us and alas, we have to pass them on to you. All kits that include Dos Mujeres reflect these new prices.

Try to have a happy Spring anyway!

Our in-store customers really enjoy this one and now we are making it available to all. Why did we wait so long?? Holly thoughtfully designed it in two sizes. This scarf version only uses ONE skein of our Forever Random Blends. This is a very affordable way to come to know this unique yarn.

EYEDAZZLER KIMONO
by Judy Dercum
This is the latest (and some say), the greatest in Judy Dercum’s Kimono series for La Lana. This piece is gloriously asymmetrical with expanding and contracting zig-zags in addition to the unexpected moving diamond shapes, which together to set up a vibrational feel that dazzles the eye.
